6 Lessons From Immigrant Entrepenaurs
Dear Blog Reader,
I came accross this article from msn.The article resonates with me for many reasons.Firstly, and foremost because I am living and working in a foreign country. In the last 6 months,it has become apparent to me that I needed to draw inspiration to make my dreams happen.I think under proper circumstances being in a foreign land can be a greater boost than hindrance for achieving one´s dreams.
For example in my network marketing ventures,I get to explore many avenues and social interactions without prohitions of social norms. This is because I am foreign to whatever expectations, and the need to socialise or intergrate is expected from me than the contrary.Secondly,by merely being foreign then there is a certain fascination with me.Now this can be a good or a bad thing. At this stage, the effective thing in my business is sound knowledge of products, confidence and good deliverance of marketing info(Grasp and command of the language count).
Well, basically, every opportunity is due to what was perceived an obstacle.I used to think not knowing Spanish was an obstacle, but then what would I say knowing English in this same environment is?Definitely not a disadvantage!!!There are English speaking people waiting to be introduced to the business. This also opens up the student market which is more open and available to try new ventures etecera.
Anyway, next time you list reasons why you should not or cannot do something, remember its the same reason why you should and can do it.
About the picture that comes with this article, well, its a known fact that this country was founded and still prides itself on the skills and labour of immgrants. Also,it is one country where many people go to forget scarce opportunities in their home countries and seek prosperity for the future. Many people have attributed fair opportunities and industriousness of these immigrants to their success.
